Generis Technology Ltd supplies B-Smart™ software product suite to Scottish Power

Following a review of the market and software solutions targeted at meeting the Review of Gas Metering Arrangements (RGMA), Scottish Power have chosen the B-Smart™ product suite from Generis Technology Ltd in support of their business requirements.

Scottish Power plan initially to implement B-Smart™ Meter Asset Manager and the associated Data Flow engine, moving to production status in advance of RGMA industry testing. This will be the first phase of a staged implementation approach, allowing ScottishPower to be ready for industry testing.

Scottish Power has purchased the Meter Asset Manager, Contract Manager and Job Manager components of B-Smart™ in addition to the core Data Flow engine.

Whilst the initial focus is on getting the core system implemented and live, attention to other aspects of the purchased product suite will quickly follow.

 

The flexibility of the B-Smart™ architecture will enable Scottish Power to process and manage their own bi-lateral data flows, as well as industry standard flows, all in accordance with their own unique business needs.

The suite is highly configurable via its core Data Flow management software, providing much needed flexibility within a dynamic deregulated market. Both Supplier and Meter Asset Management companies can effectively deploy B-Smart™.

 

The suite comes with a comprehensive choice of support packages enabling clients to receive industry upgrades and direct support whilst also having the opportunity to influence B-Smart’s future direction.

B-Smart™ utilises an N-Tier architecture enabling easy access to its underlying database’s via 3rd Party Products.
