E.ON UK take Domestic meters live on B-Smart™

Following on from the successful live implementation of their Industrial and Commercial meter portfolio during July 2002, E.ON UK have now completed the load of all domestic gas meters into B-Smart™.

This latest implementation took place smoothly and without incident on November 1st 2002.

B-Smart™ now sits as the industry gateway repository for the full portfolio of E.ON UK's gas meters.

B-Smart™ receives, generates and sends all gas meter related data flows from and to all appropriate market participants.

Having established B-Smart™ in this manner, and in a live environment, E.ON UK are now positioned to receive and upgrade to B-Smart™ 1.3.0 due for release on December 6th 2002.

B-Smart™ 1.3.0 is fully compliant with RGMA Process and Data documentation version 2.3 issued by the industry on September 29th 2002.

E.ON UK are able to implement B-Smart 1.3.0 in a live environment with RGMA rules processing switched off, whilst preparing for internal and full industry testing in parallel.

Moving forward, this approach enables for E.ON UK to continue to receive the very latest B-Smart™ software releases into their live environment in a safe manner, whilst keeping pace with emerging industry changes and developments such as Transco MAM continue to mature.
