ScottishPower purchase B-Smart Annual Quantity Manager

Generis Technology Limited is pleased to announce that ScottishPower has licensed the B-Smart product solution to support its Annual Quantity review process. B-Smart is already established in the market place as providing a comprehensive automated solution for the gas industry annual quantity review process. ScottishPower will deploy and integrate an enhanced version of the B-Smart AQM application with their existing systems in order to provide the most effective and comprehensive review of their entire portfolio, including iGT portfolios, and so ensure that accurate gas AQ and WC values are established.

Scottish Power - Background

Scottishpower is a leading provider of energy, serving five million homes and businesses in the UK and in the Western United States. They generate electricity, operate and maintain large power delivery networks and provide a full range of energy supply services, including metering, billing and call centre support.
In the UK the Energy Retail division is responsible for the company’s supply licenses and manages pricing, selling, metering, billing, customer service and cash collection for gas and electricity supply to both business and domestic customers.
Energy Retail also has its own data management and metering company - SP Dataserve Ltd, who manage the data processes underpinning billing and settlement.

Ongoing Relationship

Generis and SP Dataserve have developed an excellent and trusted working relationship since the deployment of B-Smart for RGMA at ScottishPower during July 2004. ScottishPower already run Generis’s Flow Manager, Meter Asset Manager, Contract Manager and Job Manager Software solutions in support of this requirement.
