Suppliers Save Millions

The P196 Long Term Vacant (LTV) Sites electricity industry modification will be implemented on 22nd February 2007. The modification allows energy suppliers to save electricity settlement costs at properties they know to be empty and where they are unable to gain access in order to obtain a meter reading. The industry expectation is that cost savings of around £214* per annum per LTV in the energy supplier's portfolio can be realised. This may equate to £2.1M per annum per million NHH electricity metering systems in the energy supplier's portfolio*. Clearly the cost savings are highly significant and will make a huge positive impact to the energy supplier's profitability.
