British Gas Trading successfully went live with Meter Asset Database (MDB)

British Gas Trading successfully went live with the Meter Asset Database (MDB) on 23rd November 2001. Generis Technology developed MDB in support of British Gas’ move towards the deregulated Competitive Metering Market.
MDB is now live and populated with 14.4 million meters following a successful migration. The migration took place over 27 hours.
The system is currently processing in excess of 260,000 transaction flows per day between respective Market Participants. MDB is highly scaleable and designed to accommodate all anticipated future growth. (Supplier).
